Position Summary:

Creative Associates seeks a Civic Education Team Lead for the upcoming USAID-funded Liberia Elections and Democracy Activity.

Reporting & Supervision:

This position will report directly to the Deputy Chief of Party.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and technical leadership to the civic education component;Bring dynamic and creative leadership to bring innovation to rigorous program implementation and meeting donor deliverables;Manage and supervise a team of technical support staff;Facilitate inclusive and gender-sensitive processes and approaches, engaging local organizations, institutions, and communities, to design and implement effective civic education interventions;Ensure that civic education training curricula and program activities are high quality, effective, and customized to the needs and realities;Oversee technical activities of local partner organizations and provide coaching to ensure a focus on relevant activities and achievement of outcomes;Interact regularly with government officials, civil society leaders, media organizations, faith-based groups, and academics;Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning team, project communications, and project reporting; and

Perform other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's in international relations, development, political science, sociology or a related field, Master's degree preferred;

Five to ten (5-10) years of experience working on and/or developing civic education programs;

Experience working with civil society organizations and subgrants;

Ability to work independently;

Excellent written and oral communication skills;

Dynamic and effective training skills;

Excellent organizational skills; and

Authorization to live and work in Liberia.
