Community Development Facilitator (Project CFLG-Zamboanga)

Job Summary

The CDF, under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, is responsible for the implementation of all project activities/interventions in her/his area of coverage and responsibility.


Planning and Coordination:

Participate in project team s planning, implementation, monitoring, assessment and learning cycle;Participate in project team s preparation of activity designs, activity modules, session guides, activity presentations and audio-visual aids, activity output templates, and activity documentation;Ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project activities ensuring attainment of project outputs and quantitative targets within defined standards of quality, integrity and timeliness;Develop and maintain partnership/collaboration with LGUs, schools, communities, children sector, CSOs and other stakeholders in line with the implementation of the project;Report issues and concerns in connection with project operations and provide recommendations to Project Coordinator;Support in the review of the project s quarterly, bi-annual and annual report;Report and refer child protection issues and child abuse cases in covered areas through the Project Coordinator to appropriate body in Ateneo Center for Leadership & Governance (ACLG)/ Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) for timely and appropriate intervention.

Project Monitoring and Learning:

Accomplish activity documentation and participatory activity assessments with project stakeholders and children;Accomplish activity monitoring dashboard/output tracker, and submit activity reports and monthly accomplishment reports on time to Project Coordinator;Participate in overall program monitoring, evaluation and learning processes, tool application and reporting.

Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Project Coordinator and her/his supervisors which are necessary within the Project s scope of operations.

The CDF is expected to ensure strict adherence to the Child Safeguarding Policy and all other institutional policies of Educo, as well as of ACLG/AdZU.



Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences/ Social Work/Education/ Community Development or any related field. Graduates of other courses may be considered if she/he has the experience and competency requirements of the postAt least 3-5 years of work experience in community/social development work or volunteer activitiesExperience working in education, early childhood care and development, child protection and governance projects targeting children and their communitiesExperience in community organizing/ community mobilizingBackground in handling and maintaining trackers, gathering information in the fieldWilling to be work in Zamboanga del Sur


Proficient in the use of computer programs and applicationsExcellent time management and people skillsResults-oriented, organized and systematic, resourceful and creative, has attention to detailsAble to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfullyWith good interpersonal and communication skillsHonesty and initiative are fundamentalWith strong professional attitude and can maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work and organizationAdherence to the VMGO and core organizational values, principles, practices and approaches of ACLG and EDUCO

A fixed-term contract for one (1) year, subject for evaluation after six (6) months, with possibility of extension.A competitive compensation and benefit package
