The Youth Economic Empowerment Officerwill provide assistance in the meaningful engagement and participation of the youth along with their families, communities and/or government in the implementation of youth-related projects.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Provide strategic and practical guidance on youth economic empowerment programming.Participate and provide technical inputs to the Local Consortium Partners (LCPs) on youth employment and entrepreneurship project design, proposal writing, and implementation.Liaise with industries, potential employers, appropriate government agencies such as DOLE, TESDA and other relevant agencies, stakeholders, and build networks and partnerships for skills training and employment.Facilitate joint action planning on training and other capacity building activities for youth IDP and host community members.Supervise the timely, effective and efficient implementation of youth economic empowerment-related activities and projects.Ensure that project monitoring, review and evaluation activities are properly undertaken.

The Person

Bachelor s degree in Economics, Social Science, Rural Development, Entrepreneurship. A post-graduate degree is an advantage.Minimum three (3) years of experience in conducting training and education of youth.Minimum of three (3) years experience in a supervisory role and managing teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to facilitate participatory situational analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes employing rights-based approaches to developmentSkills in photo-documentation of projects; familiarity with the use of different technological resourcesAbility to work within a skilled and culturally diverse teamApplicants must be eligible to work in the Philippines.
