M decins sans fronti res (MSF) has over the years developed different supply systems, two of which are the Portal and Unifield.

The Portal: Created in 2010, this online platform is hosted by MSF Logistics, it:

Provides visibility on international orders and validated items to the Field, the HQ and MSF LogisticsEnables the placing of an order sourced from international suppliers (HQ/ MSF Logistics)Streamlines the validations and control flow of orders With the aim of decreasing the validation time and utltimatly the global leadtime of international ordersAutomates invoice comparison between quotation and invoice for final validation of payment release.

Unifield:ERP covering Finance and Supply activities and processes in the field. Unifield is used by all OCG missions with the exception of emergency supplies. The operational scope of UniField is to provide a common international tool for Coordinations and Projects. As a cross-Operational Centre initiative, enhancement of the tools at movement levels are a major part of the stakes.

The Operational Centre of Geneva (MSF-OCG) manages 29 missions (+/- 60 sites). MSF-OCG needs the adequate support for training, bug reporting, enhancing developments, formalising guidelines and SOPs for all its supply tools.


The Supply Tools Referent will be in charge of the support for users, the link with the different platforms and the formalisation of the related documents and processes.

Your ResponsibilitiesSupply functionalities of supply tools (mainly Unifield and the Portal but as well other relatively smaller tools): Use and follow-up of the ticketing system: bug report, testing and submission of improvement functionalitiesSuggest and centralise development request for the OCGDocumentation and formalisation: Follow up and update of the validated processes and procedures, collect feedback and produce revised versions in collaboration with the HQ supply referents,Identification and analysis of potential strategic changeDetect and report any risks and gaps. Propose mitigation measures and solutions,In the case of Unifield, create the production data bases and maintain the training and sandbox data bases.Support System: Manage the users questions and provide answers (helpdesk and helpline), through ticketting systems if applicable.Training: Support training of the newcomers prior arrival to the field (for international and national staff),Support and proper follow up of the field and HQ training.Internal and External Representation: Participate in the supply and/or IT meeting, if needed (depends on the context),Provide insights to the implementation teams if neededEnsure a good coordination with the other tools referents and participate to intern and extern working group as technical OCG representative.Is the hierarchical manager of the Unifield assistant supply referent based in DakarYour ProfileDiploma, degree or certification in Supply Chain Management or related areaERP certification an advantageTraining qualification an advantage.1+ year MSF field experience in a supply position,Experience in the deployment of an IS tool is an advantage,MSF experience at HQ is an advantage.Advanced knowledge of at least one MSF supply tools (Unifield, Portal),Experience as training of trainers an advantage,Experience of an ERP an advantage,Sensitivity to softwares.LanguagesFluency in French and EnglishPersonal qualities:Attention to detail,Strong analytical skills,Strong organisational skills,Very good communication skills,Capacity to work independently,Innovation oriented,Team spirit.Terms of EmploymentPermanent contract, 100%Based in Geneva, with possible travels to MSF missions.Starting date : immediately Gross annual salary : from CHF 90 576.- to 103 932.- (salary commensurate with experience and internal salary grid)
