The Partnerships & Development Manager's role is to establish and manage funding partnerships and alliances and contribute to organisational development, assisting Free To Shine to grow its program, profile and support in Cambodia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Funding Partnerships:

Establish and maintain funding partnerships with local hotels, ethical tour companies, cafes and international schools.

Develop and implement strategies for outreach to private corporations and other potential partners.

Identify potential new donors / funding opportunities (government, non-governmental, corporate, foundations, endowments, etc.).

Gain, manage and report efficiently on grants of $20k to $50k in the first year. Apply for one new grant per quarter.

Raise our profile in Siem Reap by hosting and co-hosting events and campaigns, including Free To Shine s biannual Vegan & Vegetarian Food Festivals in partnership with local cafes and restaurants.

Host and facilitate donor and supporter visits in collaboration with communications team, i.e. site visits and educational experiences.

Secure and oversee pro-bono technical support and supervise professional volunteers.

Seek in-kind support and donations to reduce program costs.

Oversee communications with local donors and supporters and report on donations as required.

Other Partnerships:

Oversee relations with Cambodia s Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation (MoFAIC), Ministry of Education, Youth & Sport (MoEYS), Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans & Youth (MoSAVY) and related Departments.

Establish and develop Free To Shine s relationships within NGO alliances and networks, ensuring Free To Shine works alongside the best in the field, positioning ourselves in the marketplace as a top organisation committed to best practice in child protection. Alliances include (but not limited to):

ChildSafe Alliance / 3PC Network

Family Care First Cambodia

ReThink Orphanages Network

GoPhilanthropic Foundation SE Asia Network

Other alliances assess whether other networks are beneficial for Free To Shine to partner with, and establish these partnerships where suitable.

Organisational Development:

Develop and review policies, procedures and internal regulations, and conduct risk management.

Work with the Program Manager to monitor & evaluate Free To Shine s program and impact, securing external pro bono support as needed.

Evaluate activities assessing whether Free To Shine is implementing best practice and ensuring the organisation meets relevant legislative requirements and standards.

Utilise Free To Shine s NGO alliances to audit the organisation s strengths and weaknesses, and make improvements in identified areas including systems, policies and procedures.

Identify improvements in the physical, technical, staffing, and management infrastructure, and recommend appropriate solutions and actions to the Managing Director.

Assist with extra tasks as required by the Managing Director. SELECTION CRITERIA

Fluency in English is required. Ability to speak Khmer would be an asset.

Bachelor degree or higher qualification in International Development, Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility or a related field.

Commitment to Free To Shine s mission, vision and values and ability to represent these to external stakeholders.

Strong skills in planning, analysis, networking and coordination.

Excellent personal organisation skills and flexibility within a dynamic work environment with the ability to manage work autonomously, adjust to tasks, and re-prioritise when needed.

At least five years experience in the private, non-profit, or public sectors on issues related to international development, private sector development, or another international development technical area.

A proven track-record of meeting financial KPI s.

Previous experience working internationally for a period of time or experience working within a cross-cultural context preferred.

Candidates already located in Cambodia or South-East Asia are strongly preferred.

POSITION DETAILS

Location:Siem Reap, Cambodia Time Commitment:Full Time (40 hours per week) Support: Training for this position will be provided in the form of a 1-month handover and induction period. Contract Length:18 Months Start Date:26 November 2018 VISA:NGO Visa will be arranged in-country Salary:USD $1000 per month + 1 month salary bonus per year Benefits:Local health insurance, 26 public holidays, 18 days annual leave and 7 days special leave per annum
