The Finance and Administrative Officer is a support position in the country of duty. The Finance

and Administrative Officer will establish an effective administrative and accounting unit with the Project Manager that will support all requirements of the iMMAP Colombia Program, US Headquarters (HQ), national partners and applicable funders.

The Finance and Administrative Officer reports directly to the iMMAP Colombia Project Manager.


Monitor tax requirements and laws of Colombia to be correctly and timely applied to country projectsCommunicate with tax authorities and submit applicable tax returns including the DIANManage time sheets, salary payments, and tax withholdings for national staffRecord country project expenses in accounting softwareSubmit monthly expense reports, cashbook summaries and supporting documentation to HQ via UnanetMonitor financial implementation of project resources in coordination with the Project Manager and iMMAP HQ Support applicable external audit processesKeep iMMAP HQ staff informed of the execution of projects in regard to financial, administrative, logistical and human talent areasSupport all processes related to the human talent area such as onboarding of personnel Facilitate the purchase approval process according to iMMAP s procurement policyManage team travel arrangements in accordance with iMMAP s travel policyManage petty cash in accordance with established office policyMaintain office equipment inventory to include annual review of field office inventories by HQSupport monitoring of contracts and memorandums of understandingMaintain financial, administrative and human resources archives. All other administrative and finance tasks that may arise as directed by the Project Manager.


Accreditation in accounting, administration, or related field At least three years experience in Administration and Finance supportWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting softwareKnowledge of Colombian tax and accounting lawsAbility to coordinate multiple tasks concurrentlyAble to work under pressure and meet frequent deadlines. Must have a self motivating personality and work in a spirit of cooperation to improve office processes and the work environment for the benefit of all.Demonstrated reliability regarding attendance and work performanceGood interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact with people

from diverse cultures

Courteous and professional demeanorExperience in organizing and filing information Attention to detail and ability to follow up on tasks to completionFluent management of spoken and written Spanish and good command of the English language

International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) knowledge (Desirable)
