Reporting to:Finance Manager
To accumulate and report on financial information about the performance, financial position, and cash flows of a business. This information is accumulated in accounting records with accounting transactions, which are recorded either through such standardized business transactions as customer invoicing or supplier invoices, or through more specialized transactions.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow up on all accounting operations, and conformity with donor/partner/finance requirements.
Ensure, enforce, and implement donor/partner/institution financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Follow-up budget in accordance with the outputs of the project in coordination with the direct supervisor.
Control/document over all incoming and outgoing documents/fiscal transactions, and ensure they are correct and contain the required signatures, and according to relevant policies and procedures.
Assisting in reconciliation/preparation of all accounts and financial statements,
Assist the carry out of periodic inventory and annual fixed assets, materials and compliance with the relevant requirements.
Preparation of financial reports (Budget VS Actual ).
Maintains historical records by filing documents,
Examine statements to ensure accuracy
Ensure that statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
Inspect account books and accounting systems to keep up to date.
Organize and maintain financial records.
Improve businesses efficiency where money is concerned
Make best-practices recommendations to management
Suggest ways to reduce costs and enhance revenues
Provide auditing services for businesses and individuals
Perform any other tasks under the guidance of the direct supervisor
Required Qualifications:Minimum Education Degree: Bachelor Economic/Accounting OR Related specializationThree year of experience in financial/accounting profession, experience with NGOs environment is highly preferableAbility of working on computerized accounting systems and MS Office applicationsVery good in English language
